Ultimate Guide to Professional QR Codes

Digitrik Pro QR Creator is an advanced tool for generating high-definition static QR codes directly in your browser. Unlike 'dynamic' generators that expire after a month, our QR codes are eternal, free, and respect your privacy.

Static vs Dynamic QR Codes: What's the difference?

When creating a QR Code, it is crucial to understand how data is stored.

  • Static QR (Digitrik): Data (e.g., website link) is encoded directly into the code's pixels. It will never expire and will work forever, even if Digitrik shuts down. Best for business cards and menus.
  • Dynamic QR: The code contains a short link (e.g., bit.ly/123) that redirects to your site. These services often become paid after a trial period, and if you stop paying, the QR stops working.
  • Privacy: By generating the code locally, no one can track who scans your code or collect your users' data.

Error Correction Levels (Reed-Solomon)

QR Codes possess a data redundancy technology called Reed-Solomon. You can choose from 4 levels: L (7%), M (15%), Q (25%), and H (30%). If you plan to insert a **Logo in the center** of the QR, you must set the level to 'H' (High), so that the data covered by the logo can be recovered thanks to redundancy.

Customization and Design

To ensure your QR is scannable, always ensure high contrast between the module color (dark) and the background (light). 'Inverted' QRs (white on black) are stylish but some older scanners might struggle to read them.
